Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Tile Garden Stamp Set

One of my Card & Cuppa attendees had asked me for a sympathy card, so last week’s class project used that idea to create this design.

It uses the new Tile Garden Stamp Set from the new September-December Catalogue, and the very versatile Framed & Fabulous Stamp Set from the new Hot Foil Range.

My colour combination for this design uses the In Colors of Crisp Cantaloupe, Peaceful Pine and Darling Duckling, plus Basic White.

First, the sentiment was stamped in the top corner. My sentiment is ‘just because’ for an any occasion card, but the attendees had a choice of sentiments they could use.

Next, the stems were stamped. Each one was at a different height and angle to create a more natural look.

Then, the large and small flower heads were added. Each flower head was then coloured using a Stampin’ Blend and given a touch of Wink of Stella Sparkle too.

Finally, some coordinating In Color Butterflies were added across the card.

This project is a quick and easy design, but I love the overall effect.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – All the Circles

Last week’s Card & Cuppa project was this multiple circle design.

It was also the project for my Card & Cuppa for Children Class, my final session of the summer.

The colours used are Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade and Azure Afternoon, with Secret Sea and Basic White.

First I made a stencil using the Stylish Shapes Dies and a wide strip of Basic White Cardstock. These are the three smallest circle dies in the set.

A Blending Brush was then used to create each circle in every colour, 15 in total. Some overlapped others and some were off the edge of the page.

Staying with the circle theme, two circles were cut out using the Circle Punches, with a sentiment from the Exciting Times Stamp Set added.

These circles were layered together and raised up over the colourful background using Dimensionals.
