CLASS: Christmas Card Making Day 2026

Join us for this year’s Christmas Card Making Day.

The day is made up of 2 classes – Crack Your Christmas Cards (AM) and Special Christmas Cards (PM).
You can choose to attend AM or PM, or join us All Day for both classes at a discounted price.

Crack Your Christmas Cards (09:30-12:15)

Make sixteen Christmas Cards (4 each of 4 different designs).
Karen will have pre-designed 4 projects for you to create during the class using Stampin’ Up! products.

AM Class clear up (12:15-12:30)
Lunch (12:30-13:15)
PM Class set up (13:15-13:30)

Special Christmas Cards (13:30-16:15)

Make three Special Christmas Cards and envelopes/boxes for them.
These are more detailed cards you would give in person to a special someone.
Karen will have pre-designed the projects for you to create during the class using Stampin’ Up! products.

What is included?

Both classes include:
– ALL of the items you need to complete the projects
– As much or as little tuition as you require
– Light refreshments (tea/coffee etc).

PLUS

– You will also be provided with your own Adhesive & Embellishment Kit (worth over £16) for you to use on your class projects and take away at the end of your session/day.

Your Adhesive & Embellishment Kit includes a Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 100 Stampin’ Dimensionals and a pack of Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes (200 pieces, 100 each of 2 colours – Clear, Secret Sea, 2 sizes – 6mm, 8mm).

There are 3 options for the day:

PM ONLY: Special Christmas Cards

£90 per person (discounted price for attending both sessions during the day)

* You will need to provide the following:

– Your lunch
– Your own refreshments if you have specific dietary requirements.

– If you run out of time during the class/classes to complete your projects, you may need to undertake a little bit of ‘homework’ (assembling etc).

– There will be a quick turn round between the class closing date and payment required date (to allow for items to be ordered, delivered to me, and packs to be prepared in time for class).
Please don’t send payment until it is requested.

A minimum number of attendees are required for the classes to go ahead.
There are also a limited number of places available, so make sure you book as soon as possible to confirm your space.

I send my class messages via WhatsApp, so please make sure you have my number (you’ll receive this in your booking email) saved as a contact in your phone so my messages get through.

To keep everyone’s details private, I send Broadcast Messages for each class, rather than regular Group Messages – however, they are only delivered to those who have me saved as a contact.

My monthly in-person Card Making Classes are back for 2026.

These monthly classes are a 2.5 hour session where you will make 4 greetings cards in a relaxed environment.

Karen will have pre-designed the cards for you to create during each class. All of the projects will use Stampin’ Up! products.

The cards will be post friendly, so a regular 1st or 2nd class stamp (no additional postage) should be required if sending via Royal Mail .

Class Fee

The class fee is from £28 per person (February-October inclusive)

This is the same room we used during 2025 and has been chosen due to some of the following requirements:

– The room is on the Ground Floor with dual aspect
– There is good disability access
– There are toilets and a kitchen
– Free parking is available.

Karen would also appreciate assistance setting up at the beginning, clearing up at the end etc.

Class: Card & Cuppa 2026 – Weekly

Spend 90 minutes making a card every Monday morning at Card & Cuppa using Stampin’ Up! products.

  • Monday (weekly) (from 19th January 2026)
  • 10:30-12:00 – In person

The card for each week will be pre-designed by Karen and you will then recreate the design during the class using the products provided.

Your class fee includes:

  • All the items you need to create the card during the class
  • As much or as little tuition as you require
  • A cuppa from the cafe (basic drinks) If you would like a non-standard beverage such as a shake, added syrup etc, then you will be required to pay the difference.

Payment will be required on arrival. Bank transfer or cash.

This is a face-to-face class for adults. All abilities welcome – from beginner to advanced.

You will also be able to place Stampin’ Up! orders during the class.

Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or have COVID symptoms.

Book your place by 72 hours in advance. Booking closes at 10:30 on the Friday before the Class.
Numbers are capped, so don’t leave it too late to book your place.
Minimum number of attendees needed for class to go ahead.

These Card & Cuppa Classes usually run every Monday – excluding public holidays (depending on Karen’s availability).

FAQs

  • What is Card & Cuppa?
    – It’s a 90 minute class for adults held at a local cafe.
    – Karen from HIPPOFROG Designs has been running Card & Cuppa classes in various cafes across Milton Keynes since January 2016
    – Attendees make a greetings card (the ‘Card’ part) using the instruction given.
    – All the items needed to make the card are provided.
    – During the class, the attendees also have a drink from the cafe (the ‘Cuppa’ part).
    – Each week the card is different and uses techniques including stamping images, punching shapes, die cutting shapes and colouring etc.

  • Where is Lilly Cafe?
    – Lilly Cafe is located at the back of Whitehouse Surgery on the new Whitehouse estate in Milton Keynes.
    – The postcode is MK8 1EQ. Their website is https://lillycafe.com/
    – You can access the estate from the V3, V4 and H4.
    – There is plenty of parking, including disabled parking. The main car park has a one way system.
    – As it is around the back of the surgery (next to the Chemist), there is a walk from the car park.
    – On days when the Surgery is open, you can cut through to the back of the building.
    – There are also a limited number of spaces available in the layby directly outside the cafe.

  • Why do I have to pre-book?
    – This is so that there are enough kits available for everyone.
    – Kits are put together on Friday afternoons, so booking closes at 10:30 the Friday before the class (72 hours in advance).
    – The cafe also needs to be informed in advance of expected numbers so they can set tables aside for us.

  • What confirmation/reminders will I receive?
    – When you book, you will receive an automated confirmation email from my booking system. This email also provides you with the options to make any changes to your booking.
    – Approx 72 hours before the class, you should receive a reminder message via WhatsApp. Please note, this is a manual message that Karen has to send each week.

  • Is Card & Cuppa just on a Monday?
    – At the moment, yes. 10:30-12 on a Monday morning.
    – If there is sufficient interest, other days/times during the week might be added.

  • What do I do if I am unwell/can’t attend?
    – Obviously if you are unwell/have COVID symptons you should not attend.
    – If it is less than 72 hours before the class and you cannot attend, please let Karen know (by text/email) as sooon as you know.
    – If you know you cannot attend and it is more than 72 hours beforehand, you can change your booking yourself using the online booking system.

  • What happens if Karen is unwell/can’t attend?
    – If Karen is unable to attend due to illness, she will contact you (normally via text/WhatsApp) as far in advance as she can.
    – Dates where Karen is already aware that she is unable to attend (holiday/bank holiday etc) are listed on this page, just above the FAQ section..

  • Can anyone attend?
    – Yes. Adults of any ability can attend the classes if they have pre-booked.

  • What happens at the class?
    – Everyone arrives and takes a seat at our reserved section.
    – Payments are made and drinks orders taken.
    – The card is shown and Karen explains how to make it using the Stampin’ Up! items laid out on the table that everyone shares.
    – Everyone then makes their card and enjoys their cuppa.
    – Any additional tuition is provided.
    – The class has a relaxed atmosphere.
    – Although the class is 90 minutes long, some weeks the project may not take long to complete at all. You are free to leave once you have completed your project, but people tend to like to stay and socialise or stop for lunch/cake.
    – Once you have made your project, please take a picture of it. You can then share the picture in the Show off Sunday post on the HIPPOFROG Designs Facebook Page.

  • Can I see projects from previous Card & Cuppa classes?
    – Of course! Here are the links to the HIPPOFROG Designs Facebook Page albums showing the Card & Cuppa projects across the years.
    2025,2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016.
    – Please note: from March 2020 through to September 2022, these classes changed to Card & (Your) Cuppa and were held online with no sharing of stamp sets or stamped images allowed in class kits.

  • What about your other classes?
    – These are slowly returning to in-person events

  • Will you be running Card & Cuppa for Children?
    – Fingers crossed we will be able to arrange something again in 2025.
