Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project used the FREE Sunshine & Rainbows SAB DSP.
This DSP pack has 48 sheets, so it was difficult trying to decide which pieces to use! It’s a shame it is only available until the end of February. The design is based on the one on page 9 of the SAB Brochure.
I chose to use a thick Basic White basecard and chose one of the colours from the rainbow, Magenta Madness, for a coordinating layer.
Thin strips of Basic White are attached to the DSP to create a border.
A length of Baker’s Twine is then wrapped around the piece before it is stuck to the card.
Using another piece of the DSP, it was time for some fussy cutting of the rainbow. This was then stuck to the project.
Clouds cut from the Brilliant Rainbows Dies are then stuck over it, one is raised up on Dimensionals.
Being reminded of the ‘be a rainbow in someone’s cloud’ saying, I chose to use a sentiment from the new Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set from the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue.
A ‘bunny ears’ bow is created using Baker’s Twine to the side of the clouds. If you’re not sure what I mean, or how to create one of these, head to my Top Tips, Tricks & Techniques video on the subject.
Finally, some Iridescent Rhinestones add some fun bling. I think they also look a bit like raindrops, so fit with the rainbow theme!
As SAB only runs until the end of February, you only have a few more weeks left to earn FREE items.
