Berry Burst and Basic Black Birthday

Here’s a Berry Burst and Basic Black Birthday card (bit of a tongue twister) I made for my Niece. March is a little busy for Birthdays in our family, so I make quite a lot at this time of year.

I’ve used various DSP to create the card. Strips of Petal Passion DSP for the bottom section and a piece of Colorful Theory DSP for the bow.

A thin strip of cardstock with some Washi Tape across the centre adds to the different layers.

The fun Happy Birthday sentiment from the SAB Party Pandas Set in co-ordinating Berry Burst makes this a bright and modern card.

It wouldn’t be a card for a teenage girl if it didn’t have some bling, so Rhinestones are the finishing touch.

Here’s a close up of some of the detail.

Party Pandas Class Project

At a recent Stamp-a-Stack I designed projects from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue and SAB range.

My Stamp-a-Stack classes are where attendees make 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs). One design is suitable for children and another is a more masculine project.

Here is the card for children.

It uses the fabulous SAB Party Pandas set (the same set we used at Card & Cuppa last week). I’ve used bright colours of Lemon Lime Twist, Real Red and Daffodil Delight to give it a fun and fresh feel.

The panda’s hat is coloured using Stampin’ Blends and the Rhinestone on the top has also been coloured with a Stampin’ Blend to co-ordinate. It’s great that we can have Rhinestones and Pearls in every Stampin’ Blend colour.

Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Party Pandas

At last week’s Card & Cuppa we used the SAB Party Pandas Stamp Set to create this fun card. It’s suitable for any occasion.

Stampin' Up! Party Pandas with HIPPOFROG Designs

The background card and layer just had to be in Whisper White and Basic Black to co-ordinate with the panda.

As the colouring is using the alcohol based Stampin’ Blends, we’ve used Memento Ink for the stamping to avoid the ink running. Using Light Pool Party, we’ve made the panda stand out by highlighting the outline.

The balloons are really simple to create. Colouring different Stampin’ Blends onto a separate sheet of cardstock and then punching them out. This is where you can use one colour, or multiple colours depending on the occasion.
