Last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa project was this monochrome card with tags and stars.

It would be a great card for a teenager or 21st.

Using Gray Granite and Basic White for the design works really well as the Gray Granite looks silver.

The star are cut using the Starlit Punch from the Mini Catalogue. A set in each colour. They are then coated in Wink of Stella.

These are stuck across the project with any overhanging pieces cut away.

Next, a tag from the Tailor Made Tags dies is stamped with the sentiment from the Turtle Friends Stamp Set, with some of the stars added too.

A length of the coordinating Shimmer Ribbon is threaded through the tags and tied together with a Baker’s Twine bow.

The tags are offset slightly and attached with Dimensionals to raise them off the page.

Finally, some silver Metallic Pearls are dotted across the project.

This is a great project to recreate in different colours, it would also make a fabulous Christmas card too.

Turtle Friends with Penguin Playmates DSP

I thought it was time to play with the Turtle Friends Bundle (Turtle Friends Stamp Set & Turtle Punch) again.

This time, I’ve paired it with the Picture This Dies and the FREE SAB Penguin Playmates DSP. There are some non-penguin patterns on the reverse side that are great for lots of different projects.

These SAB items are only available until the end of September, while stocks last.

My colour combination of Just Jade and Soft Sea Foam is taken from the DSP.

Using the rectangle die from the set creates the cut out pieces. In these areas, the tiny tortoise, party hats, sentiment and grass are stamped in Just Jade on a Whisper White backing piece.

On a separate piece, the larger tortoise is stamped and then cut out with the coordinating punch from the bundle.

With my Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends, I’ve coloured the tortoises and party hats.

The larger tortoise is then raised up over the bottom cut out using Dimensionals.

Finally, a touch of Wink of Stella is added to the party hats.

Introduction to In Color Class – Evening Evergreen

The third project from my Introduction to In Color Class concentrates on Evening Evergreen.

For this project I’ve paired it with Shaded Spruce and Early Espresso, with a Crushed Curry sun.

The trees are cut using the Beautiful Trees Dies, with the sun from the Layering Circles Dies. These pieces are layered to create the depth through the tree.

A sentiment from the Turtle Friends Stamp Set is stamped in Evening Evergreen.

This sits on a strip of coordinating ribbon.

Turtle Friends Bundle

I love a Stamp Set that has a coordinating punch, and this Turtle Friends Bundle makes me smile.

It’s perfect for young and old and many different occasions too.

I’ve used Evening Evergreen and Mint Macaron for my colour combination, with Calypso Coral streamers.

The larger image from the set is stamped in Evening Evergreen and then coloured with Mint Macaron and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends.

It’s then cut out using the Turtle Punch from the Bundle from the new Annual Catalogue.

Turtle Friends. Project designed by Karen at HIPPOFROG Designs Streamers and the sentiment are added to the background. Each time I stamped the streamers, I rotated the stamp 180 degrees to avoid an obvious repeating pattern.
