Today I’m sharing something a little bit different. It’s a gift box made with the fabulous Wood Textures DSP.
It’s nearing the end of term, so time to get ahead on gifts for teachers (or students). What better way to say Thank you than a gift in pretty handmade packaging?
This box uses just one piece of 6×6″ DSP so is really economical to make. If you are using standard 12×12″ DSP you can create 4 boxes from one sheet.
It’s a really easy box to make as the DSP needs scoring at 3.5cm intervals on one side, leaving a 1cm strip for taping together. On the other side score at 3.5, 11.5 and 14cm on the other to create the bottom and top.
The sentiment from the Label me Pretty Stamp Set sits nicely on the Gold layer. A co-ordinating Gold Library Clip closes the box.
I’ve added a Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine bow to the front, but this is optional.
These little boxes are a lovely handmade gift and suitable for everyone. Great for filling with sweets, treats and little gifts. They are perfect for miniatures too, but check that the bottle size is less then 3.5cm diameter first 🙂
As the DSP packs have two sheets of each design, you can easily create a matching card similar to this or this.
