As it’s Valentine’s Day this week, a love-themed card was the design for Card & Cuppa with these adorable love cats.

I’d seen various versions of this design on Pinterest (too many to find one person to credit) so made my own version.

Some tone-on-tone stamping using the Hardwood Stamp creates the fence. A few notches are cut by hand to make it a bit more realistic.

The sun/moon (it looks a little washed out in this picture) is made from a mask and sponge dauber

Using the Fox Builder Punch, the two cats are made from Basic Black and Gray Granite Cardstock. The Gray Granite cat is very lightly sponge daubered.

The tail and body are then added to the fence. Before the heads are added, whiskers are stamped in Memento Ink.

The finishing touches are a heart stamped in Real Red and coloured with Wink of Stella, plus a ‘love’ sentiment from Thoughtful Banners.
