Each year when the Brand New Annual Catalogue launches I make a new punch art frog.
This year is no exception. Here he is!
As items and colours retire each year, I make a new frog to attach to my class clipboard.
This year I’ve once again used a selection of punches, framelits and new ‘In Colors’ to create my 2017-18 frog.
The size of my frog normally depends on the size of the lily pad I want to sit him on. For me, this is determined by the largest Layering Oval Framelits.
I use Layering Circle Framelits for the body pieces and Punches for the eyes. The face and legs are cut out using the Layering Oval Framelits. As the punch I normally use for the feet has now retired, I used the Fox Builder Punch to create them.
Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist are the colours for this year’s frog. I love how these two colours work together.
What I love about this project is that you can use any colours and make any size frog you like. I think I might have to make the largest frog I can that doesn’t sit on a lily pad!
Once I’d glued everything together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I attached a ribbon so that he can swing happily from the clipboard for the next 12 months.
Happy crafting
