It was the Birthday of one of my regular class attendees this week so a card was definitely in order.
I reached for the perfect Birthday stamp set from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue, Picture Perfect Birthday.
The dotty background is from a Memories & More Card Pack. I’m running a class on making cards using these card packs at the end of February.
It’s quite a clean and simple design as I wanted the strips of ribbon to make the project look like a wrapped parcel. The Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set has a lovely 2-step bow and I’ve used it here.
Isn’t the sentiment lovely? A great size to fit beautifully in the Everyday Label Punch (a carryover item from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue).
My colour inspiration of Berry Burst and Crushed Curry came from the dots on the background, with an added touch of gold in the circle layer and sequin trim.
As it’s a hand-delivered card, there are lots of layers separated with Dimensionals. For a posted card, I would use fewer dimensionals and stick (excuse the pun!) to SNAIL instead.
There is Wink of Stella on the bow to give it a finishing touch too.
