Due to the Bank Holiday, there wasn’t a Card & (Your) Cuppa class last week, so I’m sharing another project with you instead.
This is a Birthday Card I made for a Lily Pad Stamper – a member of my Stampin’ Up! Team.
As they are a fan of pinks and subtle colours, I used Rococo Rose and Petal Pink for my layers and base card.
The recipient is fabulous at colouring, so I thought I would send them a card that I had coloured. I used the Ornate Style Bundle and stamped the largest image in Smoky Slate. Then I grabbed my Stampin’ Blends and started to colour. Even though I’m not great a colouring, I love how easy it is to create a beautiful project without a lot of effort.
So Saffron, Old Olive, Rococo Rose, Petal Pink, Purple Posy and Pumpkin Pie, all in light and dark are the Stampin’ Blends I used. Plus, my trusty ‘Color Lifter’ too!
The image was framed using one the Ornate Layers Dies from the Ornate Style Bundle. You’ll need your Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip for easy removal of those little circles from around the edges.
As I wanted to frame the image, instead of using it as a layer, I cut out the centre with a Stitched Rectangle Die. The image was stuck onto the base layer and using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, I carefully placed the frame on top.
For my finishing touch, I used Wink of Stella in the centre of the flowers. I then coloured a few Rhinestones in Petal Pink using a Stampin’ Blend Marker and added those to the project.
You don’t have to wait until 3rd June to order this Ornate Style Bundle, or other items from the Suite. It’s on early release, so you can get your hands on it now.
Happy crafting
