Last Week’s Card & Cuppa – Begonia Belle

Last week’s Card & Cuppa class project used the new Product of the Month (POTM) for July.

This pretty Two-Step Stampin’ Begonia Belle Stamp Set really is a beauty, with a summery feel.

It is also really easy to quickly pull a card together with just a few colours too.

My colour combination here is Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake and Basic White.

First the background is given a flare using Crumb Cake and a Blending Brush. Next, the ‘splats’ from the Stamp Set are randomly added across the background. I wanted to give the effect of a trellis or garden fence.

Three leaves and two flowers were stamped onto separate pieces. The first image was stamped first generation, with the second image stamped second generation. Using the same Stampin’ Pad and two generations allows the image to be two shades of the same colour.

All of the flowers and leaves were then fussy cut leaving a small white border around the edge.

Using a Paper Folder to curl the edges of the leaves and only popping glue at the end nearest the centre of the card gave them a slightly more natural feel.

The flowers were also curled and stuck together, along with a sentiment.

These pieces where then stuck on top of the leaves using Dimensionals, again popping these near the centre of the piece.

Happy crafting
