Have you seen the fabulous new stamp set called Rooted in Nature in the Annual Catalogue?
It’s one of those sets I fell in love with straight away, so it just had to be the focus of last week’s Card & Cuppa project. Especially as it was a masculine theme due to Father’s Day.
This set has such beautiful images and they are perfect for a whole host of occasions.
We began by stamping lots of leaves in Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. First, second and even third generation stamping creates the layering for the background. Tone-on-tone leaves are then stamped and cut out.
Next, is the stamping of the lovely tree section. After cutting the section out, a sponge dauber and Soft Suede ink darken the edges.
The sentiment also has sponge dauber edges and a length of co-ordinating Crumb Cake cuts across the middle.
I cut the leaves by hand here, but there is a fabulous matching set of Framelits available as a 10% bundle. Perfect for saving on fussy cutting.
Rooted in Nature has 16 images and sentiments and is available in red rubber in both Wood and Clear Mount. A great partner for both Lovely as a Tree and Waterfront Stamp Sets.
Join us at a future Card & Cuppa session. Make sure you book your place by 18:00 the day before.
