Today I’m sharing August’s Christmas Card Club project.

Christmas Card Club is where those who sign up make 2 of a pre-designed card using the class kit and instruction from a YouTube video tutorial. The projects are made in their own time with a new video released on the 25th of each month (July-November). See July’s project here.
For August’s project, I chose to make this fun Christmas tree. It’s inspired by a project in the new Mini Catalogue.
I chose Parakeet Party, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for my tree, with Pecan Pie for the trunk. These are all paired with Basic White to allow the bright greens to stand out.

Each strip of card is embossed using the Basics 3D Embossing Folders from the Online Exclusives range.
The strips are cut to different lengths and arranged to create the tree shape, with the trunk at the bottom.
Finally, a Glossy Dot in Daffodil Delight is added to the top of the tree, with Iridescent Rhinestones as baubles on the end of some of the branches.

This is a very quick and easy sentiment free project and great for using your scraps of Cardstock and DSP.
If you want to join us and make a future Christmas Card Club project, make sure you have booked your place by the 9th of each month.
