At last week’s Card & Cuppa I decided to use products from the Annual Catalogue and reached for Falling Flowers.

This card is similar to this one I made, it’s my interpretation of the picture on Page 143 of the AC.

I chose Fresh Fig, Perfect Plum and Sweet Sugarplum to stamp the images from the Falling Flowers Stamp Set.  I love using different shades of a colour and the purples give this project a classy feel.

The items to ‘grunge’ up the project are the ‘splats’ from Swirly Bird and Sponge Daubers with Rich Razzleberry ink.

By stamping the flower image twice and cutting it out, it gives it more detail and definition.  There are also additional splats on the rear flower.  Using a Stampin’ Write Marker to colour the centre of the flower and then pulling the ink with a Blender Pen gives it a darker look.

Both the Starburst Punch and Leaf Punch create various shapes for our flower to sit on.  Can you see the splats and daubering on the leaves?  We also added definition by using a paper folder to crease the centre of the leaves.

A strip of Fresh Fig ribbon wraps around the project with a length of Baker’s Twine in a bow on top of it.  The ends are frayed to keep the grunge look.

Small flowers from the Tree Builder Punch and Pearls add a pretty finishing touch.

Unfortunately, Thursday’s Card & Cuppa had to be cancelled due to the snow, but there are plenty more opportunities to attend a session.  Make sure you book your place by 18:00 the day before.
